WITHIN AMANDA’S MIND

The night's sleepy eye opens full
as exotic shadows recede under a pin-holed sky.
Silky curtains sway like gypsies
to a long forgotten melody...
allowing the soft rays of moonlight
to crawl into the room
and dance upon your smooth copper skin.
Far away cries
pierce the stillness of my trance, yet
your silhouette holds my soul captive.
I remain focused on beauty...
Your essence sings to me
an endless harmony of temptation. The shadows grow longer
my desires even deeper...
I will hold this vision eternal.

Inspired by a sentence offered to me by Amanda Fisk. I took my memory of watching my wife sleep and turned it into a memory that she also had of her man.
