THE JESTER

I've danced before kings
while loving their queen...
swallowed coin & sword and spit a great fire
donned a false face
under cap and bells...
some call me "a fool" others "a master."
I've sold gold bricks
from my bag of tricks...
made fools of so called wise men.
A web of intrigue
disguised as a prize...
spun moons on my fingers while stealing the crown.
I've promised the sun
in the palm of my hand...
threw dust in the eyes of Sirius
my name is a joke
that's seldom spoke...
I'm quietly known as Scaramouch...
...Harlequin...Punicello...
if you saw me would you know?
The Jester...
