THE SILHOUETTE

Flip of a coin
Where do I focus?
Silhouette or the backdrop
The beauty of my world on a balance
Behind the veil awaits the dispelling light
That will chase the shadows away
But that will destroy my silhouette.
As the minuets evolve into minutes (or vice versa)
Rays of darkness feed my passion
And brings my dream to life
Dancing deeper into my soul
My silhouette pirouettes
I shall remain unseen and in the night
Transfixed on the puppet
That is now the puppeteer
Until the strings that bind me
Are destroyed by morning light.
