As castle
walls went up and morals collapsed
Time
stood still as stone
The
shadows froze upon the fields of grass
While the
sun laid waste in a tyrant’s dream…
The seas
turned to mud
The
mountains to sand
Desires
stolen and sold at town square
While sins
were forgiven for pennies…
Hope-starved
and without love
Many gave
in to emptiness
And
stepped to the edge of the great wall
Without
feathers…to death, they soared…
I watched
in silent agony
As the
moon slowly fell from the sky
My soul
grew bitter and cold
Anguish
filling my cup.
I prayed
for the Great Spirit to listen
And
return the child of inspiration.
The empty
souls of mankind
Need a
seed to nurture…
We need
love to have hope…
We need
hope to have faith…
We need
faith to once again love…
Let the
phoenix arise…
