I would promise you the moon
But it is not mine to present…
I will paint it with words of
love
And offer a personal
creation.
Fragrant flowers I could
bring
But tomorrow’s withers hold
no spark
Chocolate kisses in a
three-lock box
But they will melt, as the
ending elements.
Bands of gold and silver, nor
diamonds
Prove radiant on a cloudy day.
But I can make water dance a
waltz
And bring a smile to your
heart
Instead of all the riches
known
I bring to you the unknown
Making an oath to stand with
you forever…
…until the stars fall from
your eyes…

Splendid...you can always transport us to a mystical world of dreams dear Donald...
ReplyDeleteRegards...
I miss my inspiration. Truly. My heart aches to hear her whispers and feel her fingers embark on a chaotic ritual to form with mine as we dance...
ReplyDeleteMy words were misunderstood. I will spend the rest of my life in a well of sadness for my failure to keep my Muse as enchanted as I am enraptured by her.
I took her silence and her post "Don't interrupt me while I am ignoring you," as a hint to leave her be until she contacted me.

ReplyDeleteTHE MOODY BLUES - NIGHTS IN WHITE SATIN
Nights in white satin, never reaching the end,
Letters I've written, never meaning to send.
Beauty I'd always missed with these eyes before.
Just what the truth is, I can't say anymore.
'Cos I love you, yes I love you, oh how I love you.
Gazing at people, some hand in hand,
Just what I'm going through they can't understand.
Some try to tell me, thoughts they cannot defend,
Just what you want to be, you will be in the end.
And I love you, yes I love you,
Oh how I love you, oh how I love you.
Nights in white satin, never reaching the end,
Letters I've written, never meaning to send.
Beauty I've always missed, with these eyes before.
Just what the truth is, I can't say anymore.
'Cos I love you, yes I love you,
Oh how I love you, oh how I love you.
'Cos I love you, yes I love you,
Oh how I love you, oh how I love you.
Breath deep
The gathering gloom
Watch lights fade
From every room
Bedsitter people
Look back and lament
Another day's useless
Energy spent
Impassioned lovers
Wrestle as one
Lonely man cries for love
And has none
New mother picks up
And suckles her son
Senior citizens
Wish they were young
Cold hearted orb
That rules the night
Removes the colours
From our sight
Red is gray and
Yellow white
But we decide
Which is right
And
Which is an Illusion
